130 days of great travelling
Although we did this tour in 105 days in 2013, we would have liked to have more time at different stages of the journey. That's why we planned a 120 days tour now. It sounds like neverending, but for a "mini-world tour" of over 30.000 km this is rather short. There are travellers who took 9 years to do the same.

The Route
We will start out from Anchorage (Alaska) going to Dawson City and Whitehorse, crossing the 'Top of the Wolrd Highway'. This is Goldrush county. Through Canada we'll keep on riding southwards through the Rocky Mountains passing many National parks on our way to the USA. We'll visit Yellowstone National Park, the Canyon Lands and Bryce Canyon on our way to the Grand Canyon. Our route south will take us to Tombstone and the well now OK-Corral towards Mexico.

In Mexico we'll ride one of the most beautiful roads in the world through the Copper Canyon from Creel to Hidalgo de Parral and towards Batopilas. In 2013 there were roadworks going on here. Let's hope the new road will be ready! Along the coast we will continue our way towards Guatemala and El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama.

From Panama we will board a sailing vessel to have a sea safari towards Colombia. It's a great country; for many the biggest surprise on this journey. In Ecuador we'll pass the Equator and will ride through jungle and through snowcapped vulcano landscapes. In Peru we'll get to the Atacama dessert, passing the Canyon del Pato on our way to Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. Next stop will be the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.
There are some great dirt tracks taking us through the mountainous Chilean hinterland further south untill we reach the (in)famous Routa Cuartenta (40) to the most impressive glacier Perito Moreno. The list of highlights we will expererience is too much to write down here.

Of course we will finish our quest at the most southern town on the American continent we can reach on our motorcycles, Ushuaia.

Who should join
For this tour you need to be an experienced rider or passenger and both fisically and mentally be healthy. To ride this many days on a pretty tight schedule asks a lot of body and mind.

Choice of motorcycle
Almost all kind of motorcycles could bring you all the way, as long as they are - like you - very well prepared. However, those with full fairings, a lot of chrome, little ground clearance etc. may give you a very hard time and/or could not make it in one piece and are therefor less compatible. Keep in mind that: lighter bikes give you more fun and peace of mind..

Changes may apply
It is common practice on a tour like this that we lay out our route, name the highlights and put a red line on the globe... However, we do not want to become a slave of our own preparations.
This means that we like to keep as much the possibillity to choose our own route, following the red line we prepared.

The further south we get, the less route options there will be and also± The harder the going will get, the more we will all ride together.
