Basil's
Cathedral The fairy tale on the Red Square is no doubt
the decorated and colourful Basil's Cathedral, an architectonic
wonder. With its eight domed (onion shaped) towers the church
dominates the south side of the Red Square. The cathedral
was built by architect Posnik under the reign of Tsar Ivan
the Terrible, during the period of 1555 until 1561.
